Tile Gallery

Completed 2009, this project was a low-budget fitout for a tile shop in one of the retail units in our PYD project (refer back in web-site).
The concept was to divide the space into two parts without actually separating them. This we did using rope - the cheapest material we could find that would allow contact between the 2 parts of the retail space: showroom and ‘back-of house’ design service.
The symbolism of 2-parts (yin & yang) - ran right through the design: Tiles have 2-faces, are a 2-stage process in fabrication and a 2-part installation process.
